"Wood" You Like to Sing? A Beati Fundraiser!

On October 29, a large number of woodworkers from the Portland Metropolitan area will bring their pieces to the Beati "Wood" You Like to Sing? fundraiser, with all the proceeds will go to Beati's Community Center project! In addition, many artists are donating artwork to the cause, and many of Beati's ensembles will be performing throughout the day, as well! A fundraiser of many artistic aspects!

A passion of the project leader is a desire to keep used wood (that is still perfectly usable) from simply being tossed into landfills or burned on a fire heap, especially since both are environmentally disastrous.

As such, the project leader has gathered members of the woodworking community who will build quality furniture out of this sort of material. Things such as side tables, potting benches, and even sets of tables and chairs will be created!

We're also still looking for additional woodworkers who would be interested in helping our project leader build the furniture for the fundraiser!

Have spare wood?

Also, additional wood is still being happily accepted! Things like spare unused lumber or used fence wood. (i.e. if anyone themselves or a neighbor has recently taken down a fence and have no idea what else to do with the fence boards), we will gladly come and pick up any donated wood!
