Bringing versatility and experience to the organization, Lumbard's background provides a solid base of musicology and leadership. She started singing with her father at an early age, and has been a performer ever since, with experience in both the classical and jazz realms, along with forays into rock and musical theatre. Her background also includes a significant experience in athletics, with soccer, track, and basketball among her varsity letters. Lumbard was also a Division II rower at University of California, Davis, with her team winning two NCAA national championships while she was team captain. She has several years of experience working with nonprofit organizations, both arts-related and otherwise, and currently serves as Vice President of the board of directors of Station L Rowing.
