How to Join
Beati is always seeking singers of all voice parts and all exprience levels for its ensembles!
As the orgnization is multifaceted, it accomodates singers of all types and backgrounds, and has different vocal groups that can suit singers of all levels. Beati has a wide range of musicians in its various ensembles, ranging from the highest performance backgrounds to those just starting out, which speaks towards the organization's goals to provide access to any and all who want to sing!
Because the organization emphasizes ensemble sound, a soloistic voice is not required. However, dedication and loyalty are highly valued qualities. Also, valuing the ensemble concept over solo aspirations is necessary to be successful in the organization.
• Currently, Beati ensembles rehearse out of the inner Northeast Portland area (within walking distance of Legacy Emanuel Hospital and the Nike Factory Store).
• Each Beati ensemble rehearses once a week;
as there are numerous ensembles, the time and day of rehearsals depends on the ensemble one participates in.
Every ensemble performs, of course! Each sings in at least five shows a year!
• Ensembles follow the Beati philosophy of singing different genres. Some may place slightly more focus on one style, but each will sing several types of music.
(Also, singer suggestions are always welcome, and taken very seriously!)
A primary goal of the Beati is to provide singers with the best experience possible, and we look to create a comfortable environment for each musician.
Hate the pressure of auditioning? No worries! No audition is necessary; with groups of varying experience levels, we offer both audition and non-audition options. Choose what best fits you!

• join and also request a quick Vocal Assessment to gauge your current development
• schedule an Audition with the directorial staff
In addition, any singer – regardless of how he or she joined – can ask for a vocal assessment! Which ensemble a singer participates in will depend on numerous factors, including background and roster space.
