Join Beati Aurora
Aurora welcomes youth of all ages who want to sing! The organization takes singers of all levels and experience type, and strives for singers to progress at their own pace.
Before starting with Aurora, we ask that each singer schedule a quick vocal assessment with a member of our directorial staff. These are low-key and laid-back, and usually take about 15 minutes.
Each singer is asked to bring a prepared piece of their choice, to be sung either accompanied or a cappella. This can be of any type and genre, as simple or complex as the singer chooses. Common choices could be "Angels We Have Heard on High" and "Happy Birthday." If accompanied, the singer should bring sheet music for the assessment team.
The singer will also be asked to sing through a few basic vocalizes demonstrated by the directorial staff to gauge their range and ear, and the session concludes with a brief informal interview.
